This is a scarf that I finished while we were on our trip to Georgia. It's a super-easy pattern, and I love the finished look. It's made with Lion Brand Micro-Spun yarn, and it would be great for the spring and fall when folks don't want the woolen items.
Here's the Pattern:
3 Skeins of Lion Micro-Spun
Size 10 needles
Pattern is a multiple of 11 stitches plus 6. 3 stitches on each side are for the edging and are knitted throughout the entire pattern.
Cast on 50 stitches
Knit for about one inch for edging
Row 1: K3, (K2tog) 2 times, *(yo, K1) 3 times, yo, (K2tog) 2 times; repeat from * to last 3 stitches-K3
Row 2: K3, Purl to last 3 st. K3
Row 3: Knit
Row 4: Knit
Repeat these four rows till scarf is desired length. Knit bottom edging rows to match the begining, and you're done! Mine measures about 9" wide and 64" long.
This is a super-easy pattern! I think the stitch pattern is called "Old Shale". I've started another one with it using Alpaca yarn, and did a 33 stitch pattern, so it will be somewhat smaller.
